A geography quiz for curious kids (and grown-ups). Choose a continent or the whole world, then play one of four games: name the country from its flag, find the flag of a country, name the capital, or find the country from its capital. The All flags tab shows every flag with its country and capital, with a search box. The 61 flags are drawn by the tool itself, so they show on every phone and computer, even where flag emojis do not work.
loading toolHow to play the flags quiz
- Choose World or a continent.
- Pick a game: Flag → country, Country → flag, Capitals or Capital → country.
- Tap your answer; ten questions make a round.
- Open All flags to study, or search for a country.
Good to know
- Look for patterns: many flags with three stripes are European, and many in Africa use red, yellow and green.
- Say the capital aloud after each answer to remember it.
Questions
Why do some flags look simpler than the real ones?
The flags are drawn as simple pictures so they work everywhere. Detailed coats of arms (as on Mexico’s or Egypt’s flag) are shown as a small symbol. Use them to learn the colours and layout.
Why is Bern the capital of Switzerland, not Zurich?
Many capitals are not the biggest city: Canberra (not Sydney), Ottawa (not Toronto), Brasília (not São Paulo) and Abuja (not Lagos) are famous examples. The quiz loves these!
Will more countries be added?
Yes, over time. Countries with very detailed flags are being drawn carefully first.
Is my data private?
