Vehicle Log: Bike and Car Mileage Calculator, Fuel Expense and Service Tracker

Want to know your bike’s or car’s real mileage, not the brochure figure? Log each time you fill fuel with the odometer reading and litres. Between two full-tank fills the tool works out true kilometres per litre, the average over time and your fuel cost per kilometre. Add services and repairs with when the next one is due, and it tells you when the service is coming up.

How to work out mileage

  1. Add your vehicle (add more than one if you like).
  2. Each time you fill fuel, enter the odometer reading, litres and amount, and tick “Filled the tank full” if you did.
  3. After two full-tank fills you see the mileage; the average improves with every fill.
  4. Log services and repairs with the next service due in km or by date.

Good to know

  • Mileage is only exact between full tanks: the distance since the last full tank divided by all litres filled since then (including small top-ups).
  • Always note the odometer before you drive off from the pump.
  • A sudden drop in mileage can mean low tyre pressure, a dirty air filter or a service due.
  • Fuel this year shows what you spent on fuel since 1 January.

Questions

Where is my data saved?

Only in this browser on this device, the way a chat app keeps chats on your phone. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Use Backup to save a copy as a file (Restore brings it back, even on another phone or computer), and back up before clearing your browser data. The My Data tool backs up every record tool in one go.

Why does it need full tanks?

Because only a full tank tells exactly how much fuel the last distance used. Partial fills are added in, but the calculation waits for the next full tank.

Can I use it for an electric scooter or CNG car?

For CNG, type kilograms in the litres box and read the result as km per kg. Electric vehicles are not covered yet.

Does it work in miles?

Type the odometer in miles and the result reads as miles per litre; the maths is the same.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
