Short, gentle picture stories, written especially for this site and read aloud by your device: Mina and the Moon Kite, Tiko the Tiny Tortoise, Raju’s Rainy Day, The Counting Bus, Pip the Penguin Finds Spring and The Little Seed, plus two Hindi stories, चिंटू की साइकिल and बादल और नन्ही चिड़िया. Each page has a big picture and large text; the words light up as they are read, helping early readers follow along. You can also paste any story to have it read page by page.

Questions
Why is there no sound?
Sounds use the speech voices built into your phone or computer. Turn the volume up and check silent mode. If one language stays silent, your device has no voice for it yet: on Android add it in Settings → Text-to-speech, on iPhone in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices, on Windows in Settings → Time & language → Speech.
Who wrote the stories?
They are original stories written for this site, so you are free to read them at home or in class.
Can it read my child’s school book?
Type or paste the text into My own story, leaving an empty line between pages, and it will be read page by page. Nothing you type leaves your device.
Why do the words not light up on my phone?
Word highlighting depends on the speech voice. Some voices (often online or Hindi ones) do not report where they are, so the page is read without highlighting.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.
Is it free?
Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
