File Splitter and Joiner: Split Large Files into Parts and Join Them Back

Need to send a 60 MB video where the limit is 25 MB, or upload a big backup in pieces? Choose the file and a part size (or the number of parts) and get numbered parts like video.mp4.001, .002… Later, choose all the parts here and they are joined back into the exact original. The parts also join on any computer with a one-line command the tool gives you.

How to split and join a file

  1. Choose Split, pick a part size, then choose the file.
  2. Download each part (or all as ZIP when they are small).
  3. To rebuild, choose Join and select all the parts together.
  4. Download the joined file.

Good to know

  • Splitting is instant even for large videos, because the parts are cut, not copied.
  • Many email services allow 20–25 MB per message, including the email itself: choose 20 MB parts to be safe.
  • Do not rename the parts; the number at the end tells the joiner the order.

Questions

Will the joined file be exactly the same?

Yes, byte for byte. The parts are simply cut from the original in order, and joining puts them back together. Use the File Checksum tool on both if you want proof.

Can I open a single part on its own?

No. Each part is only a slice of the file. You need every part to rebuild the original, so keep them together.

Can it join parts made by 7-Zip or HJSplit?

Yes, if they are plain numbered parts like .001, .002. A split ZIP or RAR archive (.z01, .part1.rar) must be opened with an archive program instead.

Is my file uploaded?

No. The file is read by your own browser and never leaves your device, so it is safe to use with private documents. It also works offline once the page has loaded.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
