Which size system does India use?
Shoe shops and brands in India use UK sizes, so an Indian size 8 is a UK 8. A new Indian sizing system (based on Indian foot shapes) has been proposed, but most labels still show UK, US and EU.
Why do US sizes differ for men and women?
US women’s sizes run about 1.5 sizes above US men’s for the same foot. A women’s US 8 is roughly a men’s US 6.5, while UK and EU sizes are the same for men and women.
How do I measure my foot?
Stand on a sheet of paper against a wall, mark the tip of your longest toe, and measure from the wall to the mark in centimetres. Measure both feet in the evening and use the longer one.
