Run Python Online in Your Browser (Python 3.12)

Write and run Python on any device, even a phone or a locked-down school computer, with nothing to install. Real Python 3.12 (Pyodide) runs in a background worker inside your browser, so loops can be stopped, input() reads from the Input box, and popular packages such as NumPy and pandas load automatically when you import them.

How to run Python online

  1. Type or paste your code.
  2. If the program asks for input, type one answer per line in the Input box.
  3. Press Run (or Ctrl + Enter) and read the output below.

Good to know

  • Press Stop if a loop never ends; Python restarts on the next run.
  • import numpy, pandas or matplotlib loads them on first use (that takes a few seconds more).
  • Your code is saved on this device so it is still there next time.

Questions

Is this real Python?

Yes: CPython 3.12 compiled to WebAssembly (the Pyodide project). The standard library works, except things a browser cannot do, such as opening network sockets or reading files on your computer.

Can I use input()?

Yes. Type each answer on its own line in the Input box before you press Run; each input() call takes the next line.

Why is the first run slow?

The first time, about 10 MB is downloaded and cached. Later runs start in a second or two.

Does my code get uploaded?

No. The checker or runtime is downloaded once from a public CDN (jsDelivr or cdnjs) and then runs inside your browser. Your code never leaves your device.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
