Rent Tracker for Landlords: Tenants, Rent Dues and Rent Receipts

A rent book for landlords with a few flats, shops, rooms or a PG. Add each tenant with the rent and the month they started, record payments as they come, and the tracker shows who has paid this month, who is behind and the total due. Every payment can become a rent receipt with the amount in words, ready to print, save as PDF or send on WhatsApp.

How to track rent

  1. Open “Add a tenant” and enter the name, mobile, property, monthly rent and the month rent starts.
  2. The Tenants tab shows each tenant as Paid, Part paid or Unpaid for the month you choose.
  3. Tap a tenant to record a payment (amount, month it is for, date and mode).
  4. The receipt opens straight away: print it, save it as PDF or send it on WhatsApp.

Good to know

  • Dues are rent for every month from the start month up to this month, minus everything paid.
  • When a tenant leaves, press “Tenant moved out” so later months are not added to their dues.
  • Note the security deposit when adding the tenant; it is shown on their page as a reminder.
  • Rent receipts are useful for tenants claiming HRA; add your name and phone under ⚙️ Owner.

Questions

Where is my data saved?

Only in this browser on this device, the way a chat app keeps chats on your phone. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Use Backup to save a copy as a file (Restore brings it back, even on another phone or computer), and back up before clearing your browser data. The My Data tool backs up every record tool in one go.

Can I use it for shops and PG rooms?

Yes. The property field is free text, so “Shop 3”, “Room 2 bed B” or “Flat 101” all work.

What if rent goes up?

The tracker uses one rent per tenant. When rent changes, move the old tenant out and add them again from the new month with the new rent.

Is the receipt valid for HRA?

It contains what a rent receipt normally needs: tenant, landlord, amount, period, property and a place to sign. Add a revenue stamp if your rules need one for cash over the limit.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
