Can this crack a password I do not know?
No. It only works with the correct password, or on PDFs that open without one but restrict printing or copying. Guessing passwords to other people’s files is not something we help with.
What is the password for my bank statement?
Banks usually explain it in the email: often part of your name and date of birth, or your customer ID. Capital letters matter.
Is the unlocked file safe to keep?
It has the same contents, without the lock. Store it somewhere private, because anyone with the file can now open it.
