My Recipe Book: Save Family Recipes with Photos and Scale Servings

Family recipes live in old notebooks, WhatsApp chats and memory. Keep them all here: the title, a photo, ingredients one per line and the steps. Find any recipe by name or by an ingredient you have at home, change the number of servings and watch every quantity adjust, then print it, save it as PDF or send it to family on WhatsApp.

How to save a recipe

  1. Press Add recipe, type the name, category, servings and time.
  2. Type ingredients one per line, starting with the amount (for example “1/2 tsp turmeric”), and the method one step per line.
  3. Add a photo if you like, then press Save recipe.
  4. Open a recipe and change Servings to scale it; print, copy or share it on WhatsApp.

Good to know

  • Quantities like 2, 1.5, 1/2, 1 1/2, ½ and ranges like 2-3 all scale; lines without a number (such as “salt to taste”) stay the same.
  • Search “paneer” or “besan” to find every recipe that uses it.
  • Star your favourites so they stay at the top.
  • Photos are resized on your device so hundreds of recipes fit comfortably.

Questions

Where is my data saved?

Only in this browser on this device, the way a chat app keeps chats on your phone. Nothing is uploaded and there is no account. Use Backup to save a copy as a file (Restore brings it back, even on another phone or computer), and back up before clearing your browser data. The My Data tool backs up every record tool in one go.

Can I share my recipe book with family?

Share single recipes on WhatsApp or as PDF. To copy the whole book to another phone, use Backup and Restore; the photos travel inside the backup.

Does it scale cooking time too?

No, only ingredient amounts. Bigger batches often need more time, so check as you cook.

Can I copy recipes from websites?

You can type or paste any recipe you want to keep for your own use.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
