Questions

What is a normal reaction time?

For a simple “see it, tap it” test most adults score between about 200 and 300 milliseconds. Under 200 ms is very quick. Screens and touch panels add a few milliseconds of their own.

Why does my time change so much?

Attention, tiredness, caffeine, the device and even how you hold it all play a part. That is why the test averages five rounds and also shows the median, which ignores one odd result.

What if I tap too early?

The box turns orange and says “Too soon!”. The round does not count; tap to try it again. The wait before green is random (1.5 to 5 seconds), so you cannot guess the timing.

Can this test tell if I am fit to drive?

No. It is a game, not a medical or safety test. Never drive if you feel tired or unwell, whatever your score.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
