Questions

Are my recordings uploaded?

No. They are made and kept inside your browser on this device, and disappear when you close the page unless you download them.

The browser says the microphone is blocked. What now?

Tap the 🔒 (or ⓘ) icon next to the web address, set Microphone to Allow and reload. On Windows and macOS also check the system privacy settings for the microphone.

Which file format do I get?

Chrome, Edge and Firefox record WebM/Opus or Ogg; Safari records M4A. Choose “Save as WAV” for a file that opens in almost every program.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
