Check your hair, teeth or make-up before a meeting with a mirror that runs right in your browser. The picture is flipped like a real mirror, and you can zoom in, brighten a dim room, or switch on a light ring that turns the edge of your screen white to light your face. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
loading toolHow to use the online mirror
- Press Open mirror and allow the camera when your browser asks.
- Use Zoom and Brightness to get a clear, close view.
- Tick Light ring if the room is dark.
- Press Take a photo to save a picture to your device, and Close mirror when done.
Good to know
- Works on phones, tablets and laptops with a front camera, in Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox.
- The camera turns off by itself when you switch to another tab or app, so it never stays on by accident.
Questions
Is the camera recorded or uploaded?
No. The picture goes from your camera straight to the screen inside your browser. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent anywhere unless you press the photo button, and then the photo is saved only to your own device. The camera switches off when you press Stop or leave the page.
Why does my face look the other way round in photos?
A mirror flips left and right, so that is the face you are used to seeing. Other people see the un-flipped version. Untick “Mirror view” to see yourself as others do.
It says the camera is blocked. What do I do?
Your browser remembers if you once pressed Block. Tap the lock or camera icon next to the web address, allow the camera, then press Open mirror again.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.
Is it free?
Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
