Online Metronome: 20–300 BPM with Accent, Subdivisions and Tap Tempo

Keep perfect time while practising guitar, piano, drums, singing or dance. Set any tempo from 20 to 300 BPM, pick 2/4 to 6/8, accent the first beat, add eighth notes, triplets or sixteenths, and choose a click, woodblock or beep. Tap along with a song to find its tempo. The clicks are timed by the audio clock, so they stay rock steady.

How to use the metronome

  1. Set the tempo with the slider, the BPM box, + / − or Tap tempo.
  2. Choose beats per bar, clicks per beat and the sound.
  3. Press Start; the dots show which beat you are on.

Good to know

  • Practise a hard passage slowly, then raise the tempo by 4–5 BPM at a time.
  • Use headphones when recording so the click does not get into your microphone.
