Questions
Lakh or million: which should I use?
Use lakh and crore for India, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Use million and billion everywhere else.
How do I write it on a cheque?
Choose “Cheque: Rupees … Paise Only” (or Dollars and Cents). Write the words right after “Rupees” on the cheque and draw a line after “Only” so nothing can be added.
