Questions
Why is there no sound?
Sounds use the speech voices built into your phone or computer. Turn the volume up and check silent mode. If one language stays silent, your device has no voice for it yet: on Android add it in Settings → Text-to-speech, on iPhone in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices, on Windows in Settings → Time & language → Speech.
Why are Hindi numbers hard to guess?
Hindi number names from 11 to 99 each have their own form (for example 45 is पैंतालीस), so they are learnt one by one rather than built from tens and ones like English.
Why does Japanese show two ways of writing?
Japanese uses the same number characters as Chinese (kanji). The reading in brackets is written in hiragana, which shows how to say it.
