Questions
Why are “screen size” and “real pixels” different?
Phones and many laptops pack two or three real pixels into each CSS pixel so text looks sharp. Websites see the CSS size; the real pixels are the resolution printed on the box. The pixel ratio is the difference between them.
How is the refresh rate measured?
By counting how many frames the browser draws in one second. A 120 Hz screen in battery-saver mode, or a background tab, may show 60 Hz.
