Questions

The browser says the microphone is blocked. What now?

Tap the 🔒 (or ⓘ) icon next to the web address, set Microphone to Allow and reload. On Windows and macOS also check the system privacy settings for the microphone.

The meter does not move. What should I check?

Make sure the right microphone is selected, it is not muted (headsets often have a mute switch), no other app is using it, and the input volume in your system sound settings is not at zero.

What level is good?

Normal speech at arm’s length usually shows about −30 to −15 dB. Close to 0 dB is too loud and can distort.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
