Maths Practice for Kids: Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication and Division by Level

Quick, friendly arithmetic practice for primary school. Choose adding, taking away, times, sharing (division) or a mix, and a level from numbers up to 10 to three-digit numbers. Questions come one at a time with a big number pad that is easy to tap on a phone (or use the keyboard). A wrong answer can be tried again; at the end your child sees stars, the time taken and the questions to practise again.

How to practise maths

  1. Choose +, −, ×, ÷ or Mix, and a level.
  2. Type the answer on the number pad and press ✓.
  3. If it is wrong, try again: only first tries count towards the stars.
  4. At the end, review the questions to practise and press New round.

Good to know

  • Ten questions a day is plenty for younger children.
  • For multiplication facts, the Times Tables tool is more focused.

Questions

What do the levels mean?

Level 1 uses numbers up to 10 (tables up to 5), level 2 up to 20 (tables up to 10), level 3 two-digit numbers, and level 4 three-digit numbers and two-digit times two-digit.

Are there negative answers or remainders?

No. Take-away questions never go below zero, and division questions always share exactly, so they suit children who have not learnt negatives or remainders yet.

Is my child’s score saved?

The chosen operation and level are remembered on this device; scores are shown at the end of each round and are not sent anywhere.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
