Map Link Maker: Share a Location or Directions for Google Maps and Apple Maps

Help people find you. Type a shop, venue or home address, paste coordinates, or tap “Use my location”, and get links that open the right maps app on Android and iPhone: Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze and OpenStreetMap. Switch to Directions to give step-by-step routes by car, on foot, by public transport or by bicycle, from wherever the person is. Share it on WhatsApp in one tap, or print the QR code on invitations, shop boards and visiting cards.

How to make a map link

  1. Choose “Show a place” or “Directions”.
  2. Type the address or place, paste coordinates, or tap “Use my location”.
  3. For directions, pick car, walk, transit or cycle (and a start point if needed).
  4. Share on WhatsApp, copy a link, or make a QR code to print.

Good to know

  • Coordinates like 30.9010, 75.8573 always give the exact spot; you can also paste a whole Google Maps address and the tool picks out the coordinates.
  • Add the name of the place so the pin shows a friendly label in Apple Maps.

Questions

Which link should I send?

Send both Google Maps and Apple Maps links (the WhatsApp message does this for you). Android phones open Google Maps; iPhones can choose either. Waze suits drivers who use it daily.

Why is my pin in the wrong place?

An address is searched as text, and new or rural addresses are sometimes found in the wrong spot. For an exact pin, stand at the place and tap “Use my location”, or paste coordinates copied from your maps app.

Is my location stored?

No. Your location is read only when you press “Use my location”, used to make the link on your device, and never sent to us. Of course, anyone you send the link to will see that place.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
