Each puzzle is written by us and has exactly one answer that the clues lead to. Hints point at the key step, and the explanation shows the full reasoning, so you learn the method, not just the answer. Many are similar to the reasoning questions in school and job aptitude tests.

Good to know

We wrote them ourselves for this site, with their hints and explanations. You will not find this exact set anywhere else, and new ones are added from time to time.
What is lateral thinking?
Solving a problem by questioning an assumption instead of following the obvious path. For example: why does a phone stay at 100% all night while playing films? Because it was charging.
Do these help with aptitude tests?
Yes. Seating, ordering, coding and truth-teller puzzles are common in reasoning sections of competitive exams. Practising them builds speed and confidence.
