Learn the Hindi alphabet (वर्णमाला) the way it is taught in school: 13 स्वर (vowels) from अ to अः and 36 व्यंजन (consonants) from क to ज्ञ. Each letter has a picture word such as क से कबूतर, its sound written in English letters for parents who are learning too, and is spoken aloud. The बारहखड़ी tab builds क का कि की कु कू के कै को कौ कं कः for any consonant, and the quiz checks what your child remembers.

Questions
Why is there no sound?
Sounds use the speech voices built into your phone or computer. Turn the volume up and check silent mode. If one language stays silent, your device has no voice for it yet: on Android add it in Settings → Text-to-speech, on iPhone in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices, on Windows in Settings → Time & language → Speech.
Why do ङ and ञ have no picture word?
No common Hindi word begins with these sounds; they are heard inside words. Schools often leave them blank too. ण has बाण (arrow), where it comes at the end.
Are क्ष, त्र and ज्ञ letters?
They are joined letters (संयुक्त व्यंजन) made from two consonants, but they are taught at the end of the varnamala, so they are included here.
Some books use अ से अनार. Why अनानास here?
Many picture words are used for each letter. We chose words that have a clear picture on every phone, such as the pineapple 🍍 for अनानास.
