Questions

reset or revert?

git reset rewrites history and is fine for commits you have not pushed. git revert adds a new commit that undoes an old one, which is safe on shared branches.

I lost a commit after a reset. Can I get it back?

Usually yes: git reflog lists where your branch has been, and you can create a branch from the lost commit.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
