Four in a Row Online: Drop Discs vs Computer or a Friend

A classic strategy game for two: take turns dropping discs into a 7-column, 6-row grid. Discs fall to the lowest free space, and the first to make a line of four, across, down or diagonally, wins. Play a friend on the same device, or the computer, which thinks up to six moves ahead on Hard.

How to play four in a row

  1. Choose “vs computer” (and a level) or “2 players”.
  2. Tap a column to drop your disc into it.
  3. Make a line of four of your colour in any direction to win; block your opponent’s lines.
  4. Press New game to play again; the score is kept on this device.

Good to know

  • A disc in the middle column can be part of more possible lines than any other.
  • Watch for “odd and even” rows: they decide who is forced to give way at the end.

Who has the advantage?

The first player, especially by playing in the middle column. Take turns starting with “Swap who starts” to keep it fair.

How do I beat the computer on Hard?
