Open a spreadsheet on any phone or computer without Excel or an account. CSV files with commas, semicolons, tabs or pipes are detected automatically, and Excel or LibreOffice files open sheet by sheet. Tap a column to sort, search every column at once, see the sum, average, minimum and maximum of number columns, and download the rows you filtered as a new CSV.
loading toolHow to view a CSV or Excel file
- Open a .csv, .tsv, .xlsx, .xls or .ods file.
- Tap a column name to sort it, or search in the box.
- Open the column summary for totals, or download the filtered rows as CSV.
Good to know
- Untick “First row is the column names” if your file has no header row.
- Numbers with ₹, $, commas or % are still sorted and added up as numbers.
Questions
Why do accented letters or ₹ look wrong in my CSV?
They show correctly here because the file is read as UTF-8. If Excel shows them wrongly, use Download as CSV: the file it makes includes a marker that tells Excel it is UTF-8.
How big a file can it open?
Files with hundreds of thousands of rows open fine on a computer; phones handle smaller files. Rows are shown 200 at a time to keep it fast.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. The open-source library the tool needs is downloaded once from a public CDN; your files never leave your device.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.
Is it free?
Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
