Create clean barcodes for products, stock labels, invoices, library books and ID cards, and download them as PNG for printing or SVG for perfect sharpness at any size. For EAN and UPC numbers the check digit is worked out for you, and a wrong one is pointed out with the correct number.
loading toolHow to make a barcode
- Choose the barcode type.
- Type the number or text (for EAN and UPC, the check digit is added for you).
- Adjust the size and colours, then download a PNG or SVG.
Good to know
- Print in black on white: coloured or low-contrast barcodes often fail to scan.
- Leave a clear white margin on both sides of the bars.
Questions
Can I sell products with these barcodes?
The barcode image is correct, but shops need the number itself to be registered to your company with GS1 (GS1 India in India). Use your official GS1 number for retail products; any number is fine for internal labels.
Which type should I choose?
EAN-13 for retail products in most countries, UPC-A in the USA and Canada, Code 128 for text and inventory labels, ITF-14 for outer shipping cartons and Code 39 for ID cards and simple scanners.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. The open-source library the tool needs is downloaded once from a public CDN; your files never leave your device.
Is my data private?
Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.
Is it free?
Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
