Meet 45 animals from the farm, home, jungle, sea, sky and garden. Tap any animal to see its name in English and Hindi, the sound it makes, what its baby is called and where it lives, with a fun fact read aloud: a baby kangaroo is a joey, an octopus has three hearts, and a camel’s hump stores fat, not water. Filter by group, then play the quiz: Who says moo? What is a baby horse called?

Questions
Why is there no sound?
Sounds use the speech voices built into your phone or computer. Turn the volume up and check silent mode. If one language stays silent, your device has no voice for it yet: on Android add it in Settings → Text-to-speech, on iPhone in Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content → Voices, on Windows in Settings → Time & language → Speech.
Why do some animals have no sound?
Many animals, like rabbits, fish, butterflies and crabs, are mostly quiet, so we say so instead of inventing a noise.
Are the facts checked?
Yes: they are simple, well-known facts suitable for young children. Some animal sounds are written in different ways in different countries (a rooster says cock-a-doodle-doo in English and kukdoo-koo in Hindi!).
