AI Image Upscaler: Enlarge Photos 2× or 4× Without Blur (Free, On Device)

A small logo, an old photo or a thumbnail looks blocky when you enlarge it. This upscaler uses an ESRGAN super-resolution model, running on your own device with TensorFlow.js, to rebuild sharper edges and detail as it makes the image 2× or 4× bigger. Quick mode does a smooth, sharpened enlargement instantly, with no download.

Questions

Why is the first run slower?

The AI model downloads once (a few MB) and your browser keeps it, so later photos start straight away. Nothing about your photo is sent anywhere: the model runs on your own device.

Can it recover any detail?

It makes edges cleaner and textures crisper, but it cannot invent detail that was never in the photo, such as an unreadable number plate.

Is there a size limit?

To keep phones from running out of memory, images are first reduced to 1600 px (for 2×) or 900 px (for 4×) on the long side. That still gives results up to 3600 px.

Why is it slow on my phone?

The AI works on the image in small tiles using your phone’s graphics chip. A typical photo takes seconds on a computer and up to a minute on an older phone.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything happens inside your own browser: nothing you type or choose is uploaded to us or anyone else.

Is it free?

Completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many times you use it. Light ads keep the site running.
